«Figma has been a great discovery and addition to my work. So far it has proven to be a flexible and at the same time very capable collaboration platform for creating visuals for the digital environment, website design, prototypes, presentations, as well as just brainstorming ideas and making moodboards, image selections, and more.

Of course, Figma is not a replacement for Adobe Illustrator, but its tricks and features make it the most convenient tool for making large amounts of material. For example, Riga IFF produces more than a couple of thousand different communication materials per season, and this is by far the most convenient way to do it. At the same time, Figma makes it easy to get ideas off the ground very quickly and, importantly, it’s easy to get started —any colleague, collaborator, or assistant can easily log in and tweak something, leave a comment, or work alongside you when needed.»

Since 2018, Kaspars Kursišs has been primarily devoting his time to the role of communications and marketing director at Riga IFF. In addition, he works on communication and audiovisual projects as an independent professional. Kaspars is also interested in urban development issues and is actively involved in the work of the Grīziņkalns Neighbourhood Association.
