Latvian animation studio Panic celebrates its 10th anniversary this year! The studio has long outgrown the local market and helps bring to life the stories of brands from around the world, winning numerous international awards for their work. But the road to the top is not easy! In the Nice Touch section, the CEO of Panic, Rita Šteimane, talks about what helps her work productively.
«When I’m working on a pitch deck, I’m listening to Work Bitch by Britney Spears on repeat on my headphones. There’s no space for procrastination in achieving goals! Find a thing that gets you moving (workout music is mine) and get to work!»
The animation studio Panic was founded in 2014 by the artistic director of the company Gints Gūtmanis, who believed that the creative potential of Latvian illustrators, animators, and 3D specialists could be combined in a world-class studio. Since 2018, Panic has been headed by Rita Šteimane, who is the co-owner of the studio together with Gints. Over the past ten years, Panic has completed a number of international projects, working with clients such as Netflix, Google, Spotify, Uber, and Indeed. Last year, Panic created an animation about the project process, following the adventures of the protagonist and studio mascot, the annoying perfectionist Berthold. The clip has won numerous awards, including the London International Award and seven awards at the prestigious Collision Awards. The clip has also been shortlisted in competitions such as The One Show, Clio Awards, Ciclope, and The Shots.
