The Art Academy of Latvia is accepting applications for the international Master’s level programme Service Design Strategies and Innovations (SDSI) until February 23. SDSI is a Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters programme, focusing on service design, management, and leadership.
The SDSI study programme offers the opportunity to obtain an international master’s degree and is jointly implemented by four universities: the Art Academy of Latvia, the University of Lapland, the Estonian Academy of Arts, and the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. The study process takes place in Latvia, Finland, and Estonia, allowing for an excellent education in service design in an international environment. At the end of their studies, graduates receive diplomas from three universities: the Art Academy of Latvia, the University of Lapland, and the Estonian Academy of Arts.
The programme is aimed at educating leaders who will be able to address the ongoing shift towards sustainability and digitalisation in a human-centred way. SDSI will prepare students to become versatile service innovators who can enable change in public and private organisations through strategic design, management, and creative leadership. Its focus is on interdisciplinary studies and cross-specialisation in design, business, technologies, and social sciences. SDSI graduates will become change facilitators to contribute to innovative, effective, and socially responsible service organisations globally and in their home countries after graduation.
The SDSI programme is included in the catalogue of prestigious Erasmus Mundus programmes and is co-funded by the European Commission. The programme is therefore able to support the top 20 students each year with a monthly Erasmus Mundus scholarship of 1400 euros as well as health insurance coverage. The programme admits 35 students from all over the world each year. Candidates who do not make the scholarship list can study for a fee.
