«In order for digitally created illustrations to be as lively and picturesque as possible, I have learned to combine my daily activities so that they complement each other. The use of pre-prepared painted backgrounds in illustration has become a key to my artistic style. It turns out that when I paint large-format abstractions, I already anticipate to use some of the fragments of the painting in some of my future illustrations. I compile the fragments and keep them in a separate folder called Backgrounds. It is a good way to begin work, in moments when it seems that there is no starting point. For the final touches, I usually use the program Adobe Fresco, in which I use a previously prepared background, draw over it and delete the unnecessary. It comes together like a digital application.»
