Naked Truth Nº238—Monika Pormale

Artist, costume designer and scenographer Monika Pormale is recognised for her outstanding work not only in Latvia, but also in Europe and elsewhere in the world. She has worked in Schauspiel Frankfurt, the Ruhrtriennale, the State Theatre of Nations in Moscow, Thalia Theater in Hamburg, Vienna’s Burgtheater, and elsewhere. In the recent «Spēlmaņu nakts» (Latvian Theatre Awards Ceremony), Monika received the Scenographer of the Year title for the stage design in the Rainis’ play «Blow, Ye Wind!» directed by Elmārs Seņkovs.
