On October 18 and 19 an international forum «New Realities. Creative Industries Forum» will take place in «Dizaina fabrika». The event will bring together the leading creative industry experts and enterprises from the Baltic Sea region.
During the first day of the forum innovation consultant Kenneth Agerholm and director of the international new enterprise competition «Creative Business Cup» Rasmus Wiinstedt Tscherning from Denmark will discuss the future of creative industries. Multiple Latvian entrepreneurs will share their experience, including representatives from «WARP», «Every Little Thing» and «Anatomy Next».
The central event of the forum will be the «Creative Business Cup» final for Latvia and the Baltic Sea region which will have five new businesses from Latvia taking part. The winners will compete with the most successful creative industry entrepreneurs from 70 other countries during the «Global Entrepreneurship Week» and will seek the first prize of 15 000 Euros. The first day of the forum will be concluded by a networking event.
On October 19 pitch trainer Gleb Maltsev from Estonia will run a practical workshop on presentation preparation. A discussion «Radi-dari» that concludes this year’s Creativity Week «radi!2018» is also part of the forum’s program. It is dedicated to the culture of learning from mistakes and will feature the comedian and host of «Fuckup Nights Riga» Edgars Bāliņš and one of the founders of the conversation festival «LAMPA» Egita Prāma. Sandra Kropa will moderate a discussion and exchange of ideas with the poet Sergejs Timofejevs, founder of «Anatomy Next» Sandis Kondrats and creator of the game «Dusmu kontrole» Līga Bērziņa.
The event «New Realities. Creative Industries Forum» is organised by LIAA Creative Industries Incubator and will take place in «Dizaina Fabrika», Riga from October 18 to 19. Registration is open online.
