From October 6 to 8, the international design exhibition «Design Isle 2017» will take place in Ķīpsala, Riga, featuring design works by companies, professionals and students of the Baltics. The attendees will have an opportunity to learn about the industry news, meet designers, get inspiration and shop around.
The exhibition «Design Isle 2017» will present furniture, light objects, clothing and accessories, lifestyle products and other design objects from Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian companies. During the three–day long event the attendees will be able to meet and talk with designers from various fields. For the second time in the framework of the exhibition «Design Isle», the Baltic Design Fair will also be held.Students of Latvian design schools and universities will bring fresh ideas and unusual solutions to the exhibition presenting their diploma works and creative projects.

Meanwhile, those who are still only planning to study design will have a chance to compare and get to know the most suitable educational institution.
Traditionally, the exhibition will feature Latvian design works, chosen by a professional jury. The competition «Latvian Designers’ Society Award 2017» was open to both professionals and students. There are three categories in the competition — interior design, furniture design and trademarks or logotypes. The best works in furniture design category will be on display at the exhibition and everyone will be welcome to meet their authors.
Design industry representatives are welcome to attend the seminar «Future professions in design». Further information on the event’s time and programme will soon be available on the exhibition’s webpage.
