On its 97th anniversary on August 29, the National Library of Latvia will unveil its permanent exhibition «Book in Latvia», a story of the history of Latvian book trade in a global context, inspired by the new image of the library. Among the creators of the exhibition are talented literarians, curators, designers and architects, while the author of the idea and leading curator is the well–known historian Gustavs Strenga. Although, in his own words, he rarely gives advice, here’s a conclusion that Gustavs came to while working on the exhibition.
